Seems like it had been a busy week which is a good thing. It means i have been feeling well enough to do lots of things. Side effects to the new drugs have been minimal. So much so that Dr. Kapoor increased the doses and is going to throw in the heavy duty Taxotere once a month for good measure. We are looking to do a CT scan in mid July. I look forward to drinking that nasty barium with breathless anticipation!!! My hair seem to be filling in but i am afraid it is only a temporary thing as is the lack of side effects. Still, it is nice not to look so much like a chemotherapy patient. There are levels of looking terrible you know!
We got our first shower gift for Jaden, some really cute bunny pj's and a bib. Here's a pic of them along with our camera-shy son.
We were part of a group of all the people who are likely to travel to China together and they had a Cyber shower. Though we missed the actual chat room shower due to a church committment, we are looking forward to continued communication with people who are sharing our adoption and travel experience.
Last night my friend Melissa and i made and decorated cookies for Tait's school teachers and karate teachers. It took some skill to juggle dinner, kids, baking and decorating but we had a good time and the cookies look wonderful. It is nice to have helpful and caring friends.
The family is looking forward to the Long Memorial day weekend at the lake. It should be relaxing, full of cooking, playing and relaxing. Hope everyone out there enjoys theirs as well. Let us also remember all those that have served to protect our country so we get to enjoy our freedoms.
