We will spend several days in Lanzhou, the capital city of the Gansu Province. Here is a picture of a street corner in Lanzhou. Dear husband, Jon-Erik, will be right at home..notice the large "Star Wars" poster. Our daughter currently resides in Wuwei, which is about a 12 hr. drive north of Lanzhou.
a beautiful day Just another beautiful day in South Texas. It is sunny and about 77 degrees. I think i am too much of a "weather wimp" to withstand the cold temperatures in China. I guess after chemotherapy i should be able to handle anything!!! I have been buried in grading projects of ancient Roman timelines while JE has been busy making memory boards. The Longhorns killed the Bears this weekend so he is in good spirits. We are trying not to wish the holidays away but can't keep our minds off of Jaden. I love the holidays because of the food we get to eat and the extended family we get to visit with. Boy, lots of random thoughts today. I can tell it is Monday! Thanks to everybody for your kind thoughts and words of encouragement. As Tait says with his new vocabulary word, getting Jaden home will be the "climax" of our journey!
