The pdf files of the notes from our trip are up and ready for viewing at www.dorijohnson.com
They are pretty big files so only attempt if you have a fast connection and/or lots of time on your hands. The files have a few pictures of the trip but the main focus is really about our experience in China and the joys that came from adopting a baby. Jaden continues to make me smile and laugh on a daily basis. It was a wonderful trip and our hope is that you get a little feel for what the trip was like for us.
rainy day It is a rainy, thunderstormy morning in San Antonio. The good news is if we can hang on for a day the weather will most likely change for the better, just one of the things i love about living in South Texas! All this rain has really made the weeds spring up in the yard. Jaden and i spent about 1 1/2 hours outside yesterday fighting the weed war. I feel like i made quite a difference in the front yard. Jaden just played and babbled in her stroller as i talked to her about the weeds. She was such a good girl. Mom came by a took us to Red Lobster for lunch. We had our favorite shrimp and lobster caesar salad. (not to mention those yummy little cheddar biscuits!!!!) Jaden seems to like shrimp. Tait is still riding the bus like such a big boy. I am so proud of him. JE is down with a cold and sore throat. I imagine that is what Jaden has as her nose runs nonstop. She gets frustrated because she can't suck her thumb and breathe. I am feeling well and hope to get to the lakehouse this weekend to scrape paint. JE, Eric and Emrys tore down and replaced all the rotten boards on the house and what a difference just that made. i can hardly wait to get it painted. That will be our chore the next pretty weekend. Kerri will be induced next Wednesday if the baby does not come before that. We will be sticking pretty close to home awaiting the arrival of our new neice.
