Ouch MENTAL NOTE TO SELF. Remind kids not to leave heavy objects in the middle of the room. i was checking on the kids today as they played in Tait's room. It was set up like some massive jungle scene with animals, dinosaurs, monsters and a large heavy wax hippo in the middle. The phone rang in the other room and off i sprinted to get the phone. (ok so i don't really sprint anymore but you get the picture) You stop laughing because i know that all have you have done this at some point in your life. The only problem was that i forgot the obstacle course on the floor and hit the hippo with my left foot. After dancing around the room in pain, trying not to say words that young children should not hear, i seem to have aquired a couple of colorful toes and no, i did not make it to the phone in time. (hopefully not broken though i have seem quite a few broken toes in my soccer coaching days and it is not looking good!)

time... i have reveiwed my last blog date and it has been a month since i have made the time to sit and share life with the cyber world. i have come to the conclusion that my free time has slipped away with all those socs that i put into the dryer with their partners, only to return as a single. With Tait home for the summer, my free time not tending to Jaden, is spent with him. He came home from kinder with a major list of expectations for first grade. We work on reading, letters, numbers and sicence words because we have a test here in the great state of Texas that has to be passed by third graders. The expectations are put on mastery of this test instead of learning. No wonder most kids hate school before they leave elementary. We also have to spend time doing summer fun things like making ice cream sandwich cookies at the lake house, swimming, visiting the zoo and playing in the pouring rain. Life is good, just filled with activities. This is a postive thing as it means i am up for the challenges of being a Mom. i really have been feeling good. Dr. K keeps putting off my mega dose of chemo because my counts are low. (and he knows how much fun i am having this summer so i give him the pouty face when he mentions it.) The sad face did not work this week and i got my evil drug today. Will make for a long weekend. Thanks to my ever so brave sister in law who watched her 4 month old and my two angels while also struggling with a nasty kidney stone while i spent the day getting my juice. Kerri, please tell that kidney stone it is NOT invited on our beach trip!!!
