Dori should be homoe today If all goes well Dori will be home sometime today. The official source of her trouble was E.Coli bateria. The gram negative rods are the early stages of various bateria and her rods happened to develope into e coli in her blood samples. She also had traces in her urine. How she got it is kind of a mystery but the guess is she infected herself. We all have e coli in our digestive system and it is perfectly fine to be there. It is when it makes the leap from where it is supposed to be to the blood stream that it causes a problem. But the good news is that is should respond to common oral anti-biotics and so Dori can take some pills and we won't have to worry about a PICC line or home health care this time.
